- CNP Training – done every 3 years. Dr. Miller & four others participating. Learning about procurement and etc. in order to remain in compliance.
- Teacher Leader Conference in New Orleans (July 25-28) – Ms. Lynch, Mrs. Broadway, Ms. Payne, Mrs. Cutler and Ms. Moten attending. For the first time there is a $100 charge.
- Curriculum Adoption
- New Business
- CNP Review – we must follow the state procurement process; and, as a result will be changing a few of our vendors. We need to spread our small purchases around, instead of relying on just one business. Review will be in October.
- ULM Pharmacy Students – Kourtney Stewart and four others in the Doctoral program are working on Project Keepsake (Kidneys in the Classroom) with 3rd through 6th graders.
- Faculty Development – three conferences with four disciplines
- Student Support Institute Conf. (Sep. 30 – Ms. Lynch/Mrs. Cutlet)
- International Reading Association Conf (Oct. 9-11 – Mrs. Broadway/Ms. Hollins)
- Association of Middle Level Educators (Nov. 7-9 – Dr. Miller/Ms. Payne/Ms. Kline and Ms. Hollins)
- Bylaws – Revisited. No changes made. President Hunt needs to sign.
- Programmatic Exemptions – discussion re: cases with students whose parents have expressed religious reasons for certain dietary, Saturday School attendance and other activity participation restrictions. It was moved by Rod Washington and 2nd by D. Green to have the administration send the parent(s) a letter requesting a fully detailed written statement on what is and not acceptable for their children to participate in and eat.
- 2019-2020 Annual Budget – discussions re: bus expenses and salary information about Cafeteria staff.
- Contracts
- CPA – Dewitt and Ginger – also does work for OCS.
- Curriculum Coordinator – Dr. Elnora Montgomery
- Faculty and Staff (roster and pay information shared)
